This is kind of a long shot, but I will try to find the answer in this list infinite* wisdom: I recently left the painly slow world of dial-up for internet acces in favor of cellular evdo internet connection (not the best but the only available option). My ISP gave me an AXW-D800 Axesstel EVdo modem, more info on it here : It has a built in router with DHCP capabilities. I plugged my XP Pro/Ubuntu 7.10 dual boot machine to it through ethernet. The modem assigns the 192.168.0.2 IP to my machine and I have acces to the internet. Till here everything seems fine but... I installed Azureus (on windows and on linux) which is a torrent downloader. It keeps complaining about the need to open a port for it to work. I have opened the port through exceptions with the Windows Firewall and in iptables on linux but the program keeps complaining. I have found info on the net, particulary in this site: The instructions look very easy but I have had no luck with them. Has anyone here had a similar experience? Any help is appreciated.
