My opinion may not count since I am not a heavy user of MPLAB and
I do not like ICD2 and I do not have Real ICE. A lot of problems with
MPLAB have something to do with either ICD2 and Real-ICE.

Anyway, I will say to use a second computer to test it. In most cases
you will have no problems with the latest version of MPLAB. But you
do not want to ruin your main work system.
