I've used the audio version extensively but have never used the mains versions. There are straight and right angled PCB and chassis and cord and ... versions. You CAN'T accidentally interplug the mains and audio versions - although they are similar enough in body that someone may try. For audio they are one of the top choices. I don't know how good for mains but there's every reason to think they would be good. You can get a wide range of clones as well as 'the real thing. A mains connector may be inexpensive but should never be cheap :-).
