Martin, If you're using the ICD2 and you are watching a lot of variables/registers/etc., it will take time to transfer these values to the computer. I have had this happen to me too. What I usually do is to turn off all of the watch variables except those that I absolutely need to watch at the moment. This speeds things up considerably. Try it and see if it helps you any.
