Martin,

If you're using the ICD2 and you are watching a lot of
variables/registers/etc., it will take time to transfer these values to
the computer.  I have had this happen to me too.  What I usually do is
to turn off all of the watch variables except those that I absolutely
need to watch at the moment.  This speeds things up considerably.

Try it and see if it helps you any.

Is MPLAB supposed to freeze up for several seconds when I do something
with the ICD2 such as run/pause/step the program?
Should I try an earlier version of MPLAB? If so where could I find it?
