I took a photographic jpg, resized it to 800 x 600 pixels and saved as uncompressed TIFF and LZW compressed TIFF (using Photoshop). Sizes were 1.39MB and 922kB respectively. You'd expect the uncompressed size to be the header, plus 800 x 600 x 3 = 1.37 MB plus header (probably includes a thumbnail) Doing the exact same thing in Irfanview 4.1 (no thumbnail) results in a 1.37 MB file. Something is wrong.. perhaps your original file size? >Best regards, Spehro Pefhany --"it's the network..."
