People have file-copy problems in Vista sort of the
same way. Until it happens, it doesn't happen.

I'd be tempted to make a VMware XP or W2K image that
definitely exhibits the problem, and mail it to Atmel,
and convince others to do the same. And write a
letter(snail mail) to an executive or two.

And contact someone in investor relations asking if
they care to comment on reports that some major
customers were planning to switch because of unfixable
flaws in the dev tools :)
