Here are a couple of quotes about the current curriculum

"Youngsters of today are in extreme danger of being almost
emasculated from the roots of their culture. Knowledge is
being debased and seen as less and less relevant"

"It's a mile wide and an inch deep"

Generally too flexible (open to interpretation by teachers,
and not all teachers have the same biases) and touchy-feely

The focus is away from content and towards "outcomes",
meaning you can use TXT in exams, use calculators, look
things up, not bother to spell properly as long as people
know what you mean. etc etc etc

Pitiful. Compared with previous generations almost lacking
any kind of discipline. And society at large picks up the pieces
