Are you sure you're not confusing DOS with the command line shell in
Windows?  Otherwise I don't know how you got the impression my software runs
on DOS.  The software installation instructions at
http://www.embedinc.com/swdload.htm list the supported operating systems.

I don't know.  PIC_PROG probably uses mostly file I/O and serial line I/O
when driving a ProProg.  It does have the capability to drive a USBProg via
USB.  I don't think it does anything "wierd" in Windows, but I have now idea
what the authors of Wine might have considered mainstream versus obscure.
