The 7000 pages will typically be at 5% cover, which is fine 
for mainly text use.
Drum cost is about 0.5c/page , probably at 5% ?

But its photos are liable to look a bit grey and colourless 
:-)

I too had many problems with inkjet printers - until I got 
the continuous inking system. A LASER printer has no hope of 
competing with the inkjet *for my purposes*.

ie absolute statements, as with all religious topics, often 
tend to be misleading :-)
