I took some heat measurements, in a test run, of the power supply, and the bad SX52 chip, the digital thermometer faulted at 158 degrees F. Now, the question is, if I were to use a good protoboard, how long would the protoboard be able to function, especially the chip itself. I could probably beef up the power supply, and the chip with some heatsinks, to reduce the heat around those areas. Has anybody done anything like this?
