I am not so sure why people differentiate KDE and Gnome this way: saying one is like Windows and the other is like Mac. To me they are all pretty easy to use. I do not really use KDE so often just because KDE under Ubuntu is not so good to me. But I use KDE under PCLinuxOS and FreeBSD.
