I know this is way out of topic guys, but I figured people would appreciate the message if it meant it could save them a few dollars. Got a flat tire last week that can't be repaired, side puncture from driving over a pot hole at night. After talking to some people who knew people that would attempt to fix it after signing a piece of paper saying they weren't responsible for anything that happen as a result of the tire being patched in a not recommended way (patch it from the inside with an oversized patch instead of a plug into the puncture hole), it didn't last 3 days and I had to look for a new tire for my car. Local shop prices were in the $300 range (235/50ZR18), and with xmas shopping + mortgage payment coming this week, buying one right now was out of the question (I choose to live without having credit cards, period) and as a result I've been driving around with 300hp with a donut for a week. Today a coworker noticed the puny little tire in the rear wheel of the car and asked if I was planning on fixing it. Learning about my dilema, he recommended tirerack.com and discounttiredirect.com. BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDWS price at tirerack.com = $79.00 plus $16 shipping price at discounttiredirect.com = $89.00 with free shipping Big bonus, these are not el cheapo tires, they are the same brand, size and model that came with the car (I know, not exactly the best either). So, here's to hoping this will save some money to quite a few of you. Happy new year to everyone!! -Mario ---------------------------------------------------------------- This message was sent using IMP, the Internet Messaging Program. -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
