The first megawatt of panels are going to Germany, it seems. Although you can buy one panel at (I'm guessing) about $100/watt: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150196787450 And the latest press release says only that their panels are the lowest cost in the industry, with the possibility of being profitable at $0.99/watt - not that they will be ofering them at that cost, nevermind offering them at that cost in medium volumes, nevermind low volumes. My guess is that they are larger per watt as well, although as long as they are cheap that isn't too big of an issue for many installations. Still, I'm all for it, and if I could get a 4kW system for a mere $8k including inverters then I might jump at the chance. The cost of electricity can only go up... -Adam On Dec 19, 2007 9:21 PM, Cedric Chang wrote: > They say they are sold out for 12 months > http://www.nanosolar.com > If this is a non-vaporware product; how disruptive will > this be at $1 per watt * > I could not find longevity information. > > Cedric > > -- > http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive > View/change your membership options at > http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist > -- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Moving in southeast Michigan?
