> rate, and some objects appear to be on a different path. I am NOT one for= that > parallel worlds idea, and am perfectly happy having one set of laws in one > universe. > = It's just that the laws and universal constants are so perfectly balanced t= o = fit our universe and us. Change any one of them a couple of percent (or som= e = even less) and then everything falls apart - or rather, never get put toget= her. The probability that our single universe would arrange itself in this way j= ust = by chance is so very small that it is highly unlikely that it has happened.= Yet = it has. One way to make it more probable is to recreate the universe over and over = again until it gets just like ours. Since we have all eternity, it will hap= pen = sooner or later. This implies that the single universe have to be cyclic in= its = nature and always die and get recreated. Always and for every new creation. Another way is that a lot of universes are created at the same time. This g= ets = rid of the cyclic nature requirement. (In my opinion this seems like the mo= st = probable way. Note that this does not rule out God or higher powers. They c= an = still exist within our universe, together with us, perhaps with universal = privileges a couple of layers above us but still does not have root access = to = the universe itself.) Yet another answer is that it doesn't matter what the universal constants a= re. = Some sort of universe will still evolve. Not like ours though. We can't eve= n = begin to imagine how it would look like or work. Another theory is that the universal constants and laws are in some sort of = natural balance the way they are in our universe. There is no other way for = them to be and they will always be this way no matter how many or few times= the = universe is created. And then there is of course the universe created by a higher power. Fine tu= ned = to evolve in a predefined way. This implies that universes exists within = universes. = Or we are just plain lucky. = Take your pick. /Ruben =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D Ruben J=F6nsson AB Liros Electronic Box 9124, 200 39 Malm=F6, Sweden TEL INT +46 40142078 FAX INT +46 40947388 ruben@pp.sbbs.se =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D -- = http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
