Probably the last remaining bargain source is the few remaining radio rallies (hamfests) but even these are dying out - do a search for "UK Radio Rallies" or look in the listings in Practical Wireless or Short Wave magazines for listings but probably the only worthwhile one left within reach of London is Dunstable Downs (Luton) in May. The only component place I can think of, if they're still there, is Direct Electronics in Romford Road. If you like general junk, Brick Lane market on Sunday mornings can be an interesting experience It's mostly actually in the surrounding streets - Cheshire St and Scatler St, but you can't miss it. Very crowded - beware pickpockets! I did once pick up an argon laser there.... -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
