I hate SMS as well for their uncomfortability, I mean. But I'm not concerned by privacy nor social networks fear. I just think of it as en extension to our "old world". People will be good and bad all the same, with whatever tool. The point is "can you handle the new technology"? We can use a mouse and a keyboard, and some softwares (let alone the fact that we earn money for life with it, I'm not considering it). Some of use feel good with blogs and social networks and all the rest, some don't. While, OTOH, young children today can use a mouse, a keyboard, a Palm, a social networks and everything with no fear. I'm not telling that they'll be better or worse than us, they'll just be able to use another tool, which can make their life better (or worse, just like us and Oil). I have friends, as old as mine, who feel "email" is too much, they don't have time to, they think they can't write, they think a blog is a waste of time. I don't think so. I just say it's another media. I enjoy it, I like people on the blogs or social networks in a similar % to how I like people in real life, or dislike them. -- Ciao, Dario il Grande (522-485 a.C.) -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
