There used to be a third ("Electronics Design"? Separate from EDN), but it seems to have ended up consolidated into something else? Then there are a whole slew of more specialized publications like "Elecronics Manufacturing News", "PCB Design Magazine", "Portable Design", "Embedded Systems Design", "Photonics Spectra" (and I haven't much touched on the IT- oriented mags.) You can be turning away offers and/or decimating forests in no time. These are all advertising-funded things, so the amount of useful content can vary quite a bit. There are some situations where the advertisements themselves are useful, and others where they are not... The biggest players seem to be Reed and CMP: http://www.reedbusiness.com/index.asp?layout=productsAlpha http://www.cmp.com/products/cmp_brands_usa.jhtml BillW -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
