True on some USB device. I know this happened on my Laser printer and Scanner. However My ICD2 and PICKit2 seem work just fine on any of the USB ports of my HP. Don't know why this is happening. I remember being warned when I first started using the ICD2 about how the driver is installed and which USB port the ICD is plugged into. I was basically told if you switch the port it is plugged into, it can cause problems, try striping the driver and starting over.
