Gonna halve the cars they say.
Look up = blue.
At takeoff I'd say 1 km vis
At maybe 1000 m 500m vis.
As we climbed into clear sky the ground view faded away.
Down is worse than up :-).

Shanghai is worse.

Qingdao is in between.

Camera is worse than by eye - can't see things in Beijing 
photos when you can see them by eye. Added a UV filter in HK 
on last day and this may have helped as UV may be being 
scattered all the way along path due to smog. Must check 
final photos.
