I purchased when I saw your post and just receive this week.

However

Installing mplab went ok=20
BUT=20
can't find target device=20
running self-test=20
some times it passes and sometimes it does not.=20
2nd computer with microchip's icd-2 works fine=20
with same board under test.=20
Module VPP high/pass/high=20
MCLR VPP high/pass/high=20
HELP!=20
