T6963 there is loads of example code available for this one its 8 bit +
enable + Read + write + reg0 from memory check out practical electronics for
a set of code examples. It works as mixed mode either text or graphics or
both.

Have always used the alpha displays with my PIC projects in the past. Now
think its time to try using one of the graphic LCD display with 128x64
pixels.

 

But have noticed there are a number of displays with different controllers. 

What controller if any is the easiest one to interface with?

Any recommendations?
