My experience with TI has been less that stellar as well - it appears they may only be interested in the big contracts, either that or they are very poorly managed. Possibly both. My latest bout was with Freescale technical support - 4 days of trying to get their stupid codewarrior dongle to work, with them sending me one email a day from Asia, "Try following the instructions", "Try following the instructions, only this time I'm sending you a copy in the email", skip a day - no communications, etc, etc. Finally asked around and someone nearby had a contact point inside freescale and it was resolved in a few hours. Atmel has been pretty quick on the ball, though I wish they would support Linux on their ARM9 processors rather than paying another company to charge us money for Linux support. But if TI or Freescale or [insert big company here] had the following and forums like this, it wouldn't much matter how badly they supported their product, to a degree... Still, as nice as their products are, I'm not using or recomending them if I can avoid it. -Adam On Nov 15, 2007 3:28 PM, David VanHorn wrote: > I'm getting seriously mad. > > I've spent the last couple of days waiting for someone at TI to get > back to me about a problem on their BQ20z75EVM eval kit. > I've called three times, and been told that they would take my number > and have someone get back to me. > Well, I could get real old waiting.... > > Does anyone out there have contact info inside TI to bypass this BS? > > I don't get the impression that this number (972) 644-5580 is anything > more than a dumb answering service. > -- > http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive > View/change your membership options at > http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist > -- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Moving in southeast Michigan?
