Hi all. I will be making a long drive soon towing a trailer and I'd like to keep an eye on it while I do. There are commercially available "back-up" cameras available but they have some issues. First off most of them are really expensive, and second the cheaper ones can't be run continuously. I have a small B&W camera that I bought many years ago that I think can be pressed into service for this project. The problem is that I don't have anything to watch the camera on. A local store here in Toronto used to stock all sorts of raw LCD modules (Active Surplus) but they seem to be totally out of stock now. So now I'm on the prowl. Ideally I'd like to find something from about 3 - 6", good viewability in daylight. Composite in, easy power supply (ie not 8.375V or something odd). Something easy to temporarily mount would be cool, maybe in a nice case. Cost is a factor though so raw module would be ok. I've looked at Electronics Goldmine, Fry's Online, Alltronics, All Electronics, and Sparkfun. Currently wading through eBay. I'd prefer to go with an actual retailer as time is an issue and I don't want to deal with eBay's hassles. Something in Canada would be ideal. Any suggestions? Alternatively does anyone want to rent me a small LCD? I'd put down a deposit! Thanks!
