I've been working with PIC16s and PIC18s for a while now, and now I'm working on a project that will require something more powerful. I think a PIC24 will be the best option, but my current programmer (a slightly modified Wisp628) doesn't seem to support them. What programmers currently support PIC24s and dsPICs? I'd prefer something homebrew or cheap that works under Linux as well as Windows. Is there newer firmware for the Wisp628 that supports (maybe even only supports, if code size is an issue) the newer programming specs? I've looked at the PICKit2, which seems to be all the rage these days. However, as I understand it you need firmware version 2.x for PIC24 support, and only firmware 1.x works with Linux. -- Hector Martin (hector@marcansoft.com) Public Key: http://www.marcansoft.com/marcan.asc -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
