That all depends on how bright you can get your projector, and whether or not the picture you're projecting then covers only half, or all of the side of the barn. :-) I mean this somewhat as a joke, of course -- but the ultra-high resolutions are needed (and ultra-high resolution source material) only if you're going to scale the image up to enormous real-world sizes.
