Pikdev development is pretty much stopped as far as I know from the website. Piklab is now much more than Pikdev. > Running Debian stable, my packages lack a few decimals in version, and > subsequently, I can't run Piklab. You might run into problems with gpsim and piklab, both are good tools. Piklab is quite good and the author is spending a lot of time on the support of programmers (notably ICD2), toolchains under Linux. If you do not want IDE, then it is perhaps ok to use Debian Stable as gputils/sdcc and other command line tools will will run well. PICkit 2 is now very well supported under Linux with the release of the port of pk2cmd from Jeff Post. Jeff Post (and I will help him) will work with Microchip to try to get a cross-platform code base for future version of pk2cmd. http://home.pacbell.net/theposts/picmicro/ Xiaofan -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
