Jim the forum has a thread describing the lack of Linux knowledge that the devs posses. People have offered to help port it, but haven't followed through as of yet. Apart from that, PiKdev is what I have learned to enjoy, even though it is tied to KDE. I would of course check the new software out before discarding it.
