Cost ? - don't know. The pro line of HiTech is very expensive. And they are now treating their customers like criminals with their new activation scheme. I'm not renewing my maintenance any more, and if I need support for new chips I'm either going to write the device file myself or find another compiler. They finally hit my disgust threshold and I'm not going to take any more of this kind of crap. But the code produced is very good, so if someone else is paying and you don't mind products that snoop on you, it might be right for you.
