If you are cool with being locked into a specific PCB vendor, there are several which provide free PCB layout... I've used ExpressPCB in the past and were very happy when my quantities were lower. I'm now using a program called DipTrace ( http://www.diptrace.com/ ). You didn't mention the size of your design, but diptrace does have a 250 pin freeware version which can be used for noncommercial purposes (or you can upgrade to a noncommercial use 4 layers, 1000 pin version for $125). Commercial users have several options from $75 for 250 pins 2 layers to $695 for unlimited pins and layers. Note that this includes Schematic, Layout, and a fairly good Autorouter (as far as ANY autorouter can be called good). It also integrates with the Electra autorouter if you really really want to use a high end autorouter for some semi-insane reason. I can't speak highly enough about both Diptrace and also their support. I've had a couple of issues which were fairly minor - a wierdly shaped component didn't output to gerber right and something else I can't remember. Both were fixed with a updated copy of the program in something like 24 hours. The program itself works as described and is one of the easiest PCB layout programs I've used. -forrest -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
