I had thought that one big advantage of having a publicly-accessible database would be that you could share the table of part relations, like "same as," "see also," "deprecated in favor of," etc. Obviously making it suit different working styles is hard, but the benefit of accumulating some of that shared knowledge for free over time might be worth it. -- Timothy J.
