My experience is who has the better FAE, be it a factory person or distributor? For me, its good either way. Way back in time, it was Altera for CPLD and Xilinx for FPGA but that was some 10+ years ago. Now its more even on the playing field, but I still tend to use Altera for the CPLD work. Both of them are pretty good chips but I am not sure which one provides better support for small scale production. So I am torn between the two..... Any Microchip like company for FPGA?
