I'm looking for a fairly straightforward drop-in solution to add MP3 streaming capability to an existing PIC-based audio device.  Connection to the outside world would be via a Lantronix Xport module (serial-to-Ethernet with integrated web server) .  Input to the encoder can be analog audio or I2S.  Has anyone had any recent experience with readily available hardware MP3 encoders or the like?
