Here again the perennial "What is the cheapest processor with ...?" question. I'm looking for a processor with the following requirements - Cheap - Has "a few" ADCs. 8 bit OK - Cheap - Available in modest quantity - Cheap - Sensible development tools available (eg doesn't require obscure factory only programmer or emulator or ...) - Cheap - Low power It also, did I mention, needs to be as cheap as possible. Actual processing capability is not too critical as almost anything should do the job. Having hardware PWM wouldn't hurt but is not necessary. Pinout should be "some". ie an 8 pin device may do if it can provide 6 I/O at a scrape. Slightly larger would be better. Even quite a lot less I/O's would be forgivable if the CHEAP was big enough. Ability to run from internal clock is useful but subservient to "cheap" requirement. Almost everything except the ADC is subservient to cheap and even that might be if the I/O is up to implementing Sigma Delta converters with no other support - but I'd rather just use ADCs. Package is subservient to cost (of course). A look through Digikey suggests the ATTiny11 is the standout el cheapo at 31 cents - but with no ADC. 10F220 at $0.57/100 with ADC looks good. Thoughts? - preferably with indicative pricing.
