Good evening Last hour I downloaded, installed and now use AsynMon. "Software for Digital Modelrailroads supporting multiple protocols" http://www.robh.nl/digsoft.php Well, it can do "dumb" logging as vell. I needed to concurrently sample traffic from two different UARTS at different speed, and with accurate timestamping. This was the only program i found. The program is in two parts, one that samples to a file and displays on screen. The other converts the sampled file to readable text, hex, ASCII and decimal on both ports plus timestamp for each byte in tenthousand second resolution (jitter accuray I do not know) Also transitions on the control signals are logged! Runs in DOS, so no time-skew is added by a fat OS. I thought i would never install DOS again... Fortunately my PC with IDE drive bays also have two COM ports :) Trick: if you need to log differents speeds on the two ports, you must use the mode command. This program can sample half duplex comms using a single com port and a smart cirquit. All is in the help files.
