Interesting that they've done this just before the court decides how much they have to pay Novell!  Also that their last-quarter's losses are equal to their legal bills.

Stone me, that was a long time ago!  But I believe the SCO of that era was bought up subsequently and the name reused, so I don't think there's much in common 
with the current firm.

Personally I blame the lawyers... even if the firm goes bust, they've made a tidy fortune making it so.
