This "could" also pose a problem for you on returning to USA, if you exit on your US passport but return on your Brazilian passport. The US system will showing you leaving but not having ever arrived anywhere ... yet all of a sudden you have returned to US without an entry stamp! I would go to the airport VERY early and explain everything in detail to the US Immigration officer there, so that there is at least a record with them indicating due diligence on your part to comply with any or all regulations. Things change rapidly, of necessity ... rapidly does not necessarily equate to well thought out.
