Hi everyone, I'm looking into making a PCI card to go into a PC to do some simple switching. The problem I have is that I would like to talk to the PIC on the board via RS232. It seems mad running a cable from a comm port to the back of my PCI card to allow communication. Has anyone ever used any IC's that create a comm. Port from the PCI bus? There must be some as there are plenty of PCI card to serial port cards you can buy.
