I actually know the alot of the guys that did this work. Interesting. Always was complaining about the new motherboards coming out and had to support them..... LinuxBIOS isnt the OS...its the BIOS..but a stripped down version of whats normally in a BIOS (remember BIOS - basic Input Output System) and simply inits the hardware thats on that particular mobo, so then the OS..ie..linux can load a simplified kernal and finish loading what other drivers need to. Typically no video support, just a redirected stream out the comm port. Tamas Rudnai wrote: Hi Everybody, I was just wondering if anybody was ever played with LinuxBIOS? Any pros/contra around this? Basically I was thinking to build a thin graphical client for myself so I could safely browse the net - and with this project it seems I could make it like this machine would boot up in matter of seconds.
