Either you find a workaround or a different chip. Issuing an errata is entirely acceptable for me. However, what Russell described is infinitely more severe: introducing a new problem on a mature chip. When you have a production line and suddenly find out all new chips are unusable, what can you do? It's complete and utter disregard for the customer. -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
