I see now. If I get added into an ongoing email discussion with which has all of the thread intact, then I would much prefer bottom posting, hands down. But when I am already following things on a list, and things are trimmed, like this, then I expect to see the new text at the top, and for reference the part of the original post at the bottom. If I start reading in the middle of a thread, and I find it interesting, then I sort the emails by subject and start reading from the beginning. That's just me, though. I respect other people's way of doing things, and I certainly do not in any way intend to stir this topic up (again). I remember seeing something about it before long ago, maybe on this list, but I didn't follow it. Thanks.
