I do not think it will anytime soon. The GCC people are very busy
and it is very hard for a new architecture to be included. binutils may
be slightly better.

For instance: mspgcc wanted to have it integrated into the main tree
last time but without success. Now they are falling behind and stuck
with GCC 3.2.

avrgcc people are lucky but they are also struggling from time to
time to get GCC bugs fixed for the AVR target.
