   No idea why you're getting the message - I didn't get any on the 
external LCD for mine.   I only figured it out because I got sick of the 
mysterious beep, and noticed one morning that I could just *barely* see 
a message on the internal lcd when I started opening the flip.  The next 
time it happened, I cracked the flip open just enough to read it, but 
not enough for the phone to register it, and saw that it was the Backup 
Contacts program.

   I will refrain from commenting on the skills of software developers 
who don't provide a way of disabling audio alerts, and who also display 
messages that cannot be seen under normal conditions...
