I have the mill and lathe. The finish is a little rough from the factory, but they are still very useful machines. You can spend an unbounded amount of time cleaning up the fit and finish. If you get one, I recommend the yahoo 7x12minilathe group. There's a lot you can do with the lathe that is not obvious to a newcomer.
