Is anyone aware of a (free) FAT filesystem driver for the PIC 24 (dspic)?

I'm looking at efsl on SourceForge but it appears to be an abandoned 
project. I'm certain not all files required to compile the AVR version are 
in the package, and not sure if all the common files are even there. While 
I'm testing the waters on implemeting a PIC hardware target for efsl, I'm 
not sure how many manhours it might take me to get there and if it might be 
quicker to find another library to use instead, if one is available.
