Hibernate has really impressed me on my laptop. Previously I used the hardware hibernate, which worked, after a bunch of playing with setting and poking and prodding. But the new software hibernate system worked perfectly out of the box, and has worked perfectly on every system I've tried it on. It even handles stuff like usb devices getting disconnected before resume just fine. Beats hardware hibernate hands down. > Oh well I thought, guess I'll follow my "normal" path, so I clicked OK > on the error message. Yup, a lot of good work went into that system, it's something I wish Debian had. > Anyways, I'd like to thank all here who recommended Ubuntu. I'm considering trying Ubuntu myself next time I reinstall, though that may take awhile. - -- http://petertodd.org -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFGxKpR3bMhDbI9xWQRAqaqAJ9gQf2oG+NkdQL4qYmevprRjRH7KACfUtIr b8uqIVOvAvuFpRz2qh3J57A= =H7W0 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
