It seems to me that the MCU side debugging/programming is
mostly proprietary. I think JTAG debugging/programming is kind
of semi-standardized.

Now I have tried different JTAG tools for ARM(IAR J-Link and Wiggler),
TI MSP430, Silabs C8051F.
