ST seems not that hobbyist friendly and they are not as
popular as PIC/AVR/MSP430. I like US vendors more because
they have better documentations and development tools.

I hear that ST MCUs have very good EMC performances
and they have a big presence in Singapore. Still I have
never tried any ST MCUs. Last time I was thinking of
using their STR7 ARM7 MCU. Now they have STM32
Cortex M3 ARM MCU. Both MCUs seem to be nice.
