Hi, some years ago I did use Floating point routines as provided by 
Microchip in a AN.
I pasted code for the routines I needed (and some that were needed in 
turn by other routines) into my source, then did fill the register with 
the parameters to those functions, and call it.

Then you find the result in the output register (usually one of the inputs).
