IIRC, KB has an isolation/interface module add-on to their DC drives.

You should decide how many quadrants you need. Most have a field supply
built in (useful if it's not a PM motor), which is just a few diodes
and have IR compensation. If you just need a couple, it's cheaper to buy
than to build.
