Sigh..

No, you won't kill the device, but you know those maximum clock rates
are there for a reason..  Even if it seems to function, there's no
guarantee that the next device will, or if all the instructions will
work, or that ANYTHING will work.   When you color outside the lines,
you enter the land of "anything can happen".
